Balaram Dhurandhar was a supreme devotee of Sai Baba from a well-known family. According to Chapter 51, he was born in Mumbai in 1878 and belonged to the Alankar Pathare Prabhu caste. He was highly accomplished, being well-versed in Western education with the title of Advocate, and was also an expert in philosophy. His exemplary qualities included sharp intellect, good conduct, and an attractive way with logic.
