Chapter 35 describes extraordinary acts of service from several devotees. Balaji Patil Nevasakar, for instance, wore out his body for Baba. His daily task was sweeping the paths Baba walked. After him, this service was continued with great skill by Radhakrishnabai. Despite being a Brahmin worthy of worship, she considered the task a blessing, waking early to sweep the paths herself. Her service was seen as clean and prompt. Balaji Patil also showed immense self-sacrifice by bringing his entire harvest to the mosque, accepting only what Baba gave back to him to live on.
