The Dhurandhar family, from Santa Cruz in the Bandra taluka, were devout followers of saints with a strong faith in Shri Rama. As detailed in Chapter 51, they lived a simple life, and the entire family, including the women and children, was known for faultless conduct. One of the brothers, Balaram, was an Advocate and scholar with a deep interest in the spiritual path. The brothers had their first opportunity for Sai Baba's darshan in April 1912.
