Could you describe the atmosphere and events of the Chavadi procession as detailed in the sacred texts?

📖 Chapter 37

The Chavadi procession was a vibrant and joyous celebration. As described in Chapter 37, on nights Baba was to sleep at the Chavadi, devotees would gather at the Masjid for bhajan that continued until midnight, using instruments like cymbals, mridangas, and bells to create a 'storm of bhajan'. The path was decorated with arches, garlands, and rows of lamps. The powerful presence of Sai Baba acted like a magnet, drawing devotees to him. Fireworks lit the sky, the horse Shyamakarna stood decorated, and mace-bearers shouted slogans of victory, creating a truly festive and spiritually charged atmosphere for all present.
