According to the Shri Sai Satcharita, this event did not involve two Muslim men, nor did it happen at Hemadpant's house. The actual events transpired at the residence of Kakasaheb Mirikar. As detailed in Chapter 51, Balasaheb Mirikar unveiled a portrait of Sai Baba that had been sent from Shirdi for repairs. This sacred portrait was then entrusted to Madhavrao Deshpande, who, along with Kakasaheb Dixit, was planning a trip to Shirdi. Balasaheb handed over the portrait to Madhavrao, stating, "Go happily to Shirdi in Baba's company." Dixit was overwhelmed with joy upon seeing the image of the Guru whose darshan he deeply longed for.
