Chapter 42 mentions both Dashami and Ekadashi in relation to Baba's passing. How does the text explain this apparent discrepancy?

📖 Chapter 42

Chapter 42 addresses the nuance of the tithi (lunar day) during Sai Baba's Mahasamadhi with careful detail. While the day is identified as Vijayadashami (Dashami), the text clarifies that the bell struck at twelve-thirty in the afternoon, at which point the Dashami tithi had concluded and the Ekadashi tithi had just begun. Therefore, the actual moment of Baba's departure occurred during Ekadashi. However, as the chapter explains, the apparent contradiction is resolved by a traditional rule: the tithi that is active at sunrise is considered the official tithi for the day's events. Since Dashami was the tithi at sunrise, the day is observed as Dussehra, even though the precise moment of passing was technically in Ekadashi.
