Chapter 37 mentions a cycle of birth and death. What causes this cycle, and how does it relate to the concept of Brahman?

📖 Chapter 37

The text explains that the perpetual cycle of worldly existence (Samsara), where death follows birth and rebirth follows death, is driven by a specific kind of ignorance. Chapter 37 states that this cycle eternally follows anyone who holds a 'knowledge of difference'—specifically, the belief that 'Parabrahman is different from me; I am not that.' This delusion of being separate from the ultimate reality is the root cause. The text clarifies that the same divine principle, Brahman, pervades everything from the creator down to a blade of grass. It only appears different from the self when viewed through the lens of ignorance and when combined with adjuncts (upadhis), which obscure its true, all-pervading nature.
