Chapter 24 describes an incident with parched grains. What happened, and how does it exemplify Baba's method of teaching?

📖 Chapter 24

The incident described in Chapter 24 occurred on a crowded Sunday afternoon in the darbar. While the author was massaging Baba's feet, Madhavrao Deshpande noticed and pointed out some parched grains (futane) stuck in the folds of the author's coat sleeve. As he touched the sleeve, about twenty-five grains rolled out, to the surprise of everyone present. This seemingly trivial event immediately became a source of humor and speculation. This is a perfect example of Baba's teaching method, as the chapter notes he would impress the essence of truth even through a joke, and that there was a "spiritual birth within the joke." The strange appearance of the grains created an opportunity for a deeper lesson.
