Chapter 16 uses the metaphor of a royal court to describe the Guru. Can you elaborate on the different elements of this court and what they represent?

📖 Chapter 16

In Chapter 16, the Sadguru is depicted as a magnificent Guru-King seated on a throne of peace. The text describes his court in great detail. The fans (chowries) waved on either side represent non-duality and devotion. His eight ministers are personified virtues: Detachment, Devotion, Pure Knowledge, Hearing (Shravan), Reflection (Manan), and Meditation (Nididhyasan), along with Self-investigation and Realization. The bards in his assembly are the four Vedas, six Shastras, and eighteen Puranas. As further detailed in this chapter, his ornaments are Peace and Self-control, and the sharp sword he wields is that of Knowledge, which makes the tree of worldly existence tremble.
