Chapter 10 describes Sai Baba's sleeping arrangements on a wooden plank. Can you explain what was so unusual or miraculous about this?

📖 Chapter 10

According to Chapter 10 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra, Sai Baba's sleeping method was indeed miraculous. He would sleep on a narrow wooden plank, described as being only four cubits long and a mere one span (about nine inches) wide. This plank was suspended from the rafters of the mosque, hung at both ends with old rags. The chapter highlights that no one ever witnessed how Baba got onto or descended from this precarious swing-like bed, making his movements imperceptible. The text from Chapter 10 suggests this was possible due to his 'Great Siddhis' (divine powers), specifically mentioning the power of 'Anima' (the ability to become minute), implying the physical plank was merely for show and could not have supported him by normal means.
