Once the food in the Handi was fully cooked, Chapter 38 describes a specific ritual that followed. First, Baba would properly test the food before taking the Handi down from the hearth and bringing it into the Masjid. He would then have a Maulvi formally offer the 'Fatya,' a consecration prayer. After the consecration, the first portions of the blessed food, or 'Prasad,' were sent to Mhalasapati and Tatya. Following this, Baba would personally serve the remaining food with his own hands, deriving great joy and contentment from satisfying the poor, weak, and hungry, often affectionately insisting they take more.
