The story of Kashiram's encounter with thieves is a remarkable one, detailed in Chapter 0. While carrying a bundle of powdered sugar meant for feeding ants, Kashiram was attacked by thieves who mistakenly thought it contained treasure. Refusing to let go of the bundle, he seized an opportunity when a thief dropped a sword, using it to kill two of his attackers. However, a third thief struck him on the head with an axe, leaving him unconscious. The thieves left him for dead, but he survived. As mentioned in Chapter 0, he had such faith in Maharaj that he refused hospital treatment and insisted on being taken to Shirdi, where he eventually recovered under Maharaj's grace.
