Can you tell me the story of how Sai Baba saved his devotee Kashiram from thieves?

The story of Kashiram's encounter with thieves is a powerful example of Maharaj's protective grace. While traveling, Kashiram was attacked by thieves who wanted a small bundle he carried, which only contained powdered sugar for ants. As mentioned in Chapter 0, he fought back with a dropped sword, killing two attackers before being struck by an axe and left for dead. At the very same time in Shirdi, Maharaj was extremely agitated, shouting and swearing. The devotees present understood that he was remotely protecting a dear devotee from grave danger. Kashiram miraculously survived and, upon regaining consciousness, insisted on being taken to Shirdi where he was healed by Maharaj's grace.
