Can you tell me the story of Damu Anna, the devotee from Ahmednagar?

📖 Chapter 25

Certainly. Damu Anna was a wealthy bronze-smith from Ahmednagar who was deeply devoted to Sai Baba. As narrated in Chapter 25, he had two wives but was distressed by the fact that he had no children. Through his faith and Sai Baba's grace, he was eventually blessed with sons. In profound gratitude for this miracle, Damu Anna made a vow to provide one of the two large flags used in the annual Ram Navami festival procession in Shirdi. This story is presented as a clear example of how Sai wards off the misfortunes of His devotees and grants their heartfelt desires when they have one-pointed faith.
