Can you tell me the full story of what happened when Kashiram was attacked by robbers and how Sai Baba was involved?

According to the introduction in Chapter 0, Kashiram, a cloth seller, was returning from the Naur market when he was set upon by Bhil robbers. While he did not object to them taking some of his belongings, he fought back fiercely when they tried to take a small bundle that was very dear to him. During the fight, he killed two thieves but was struck in the head with an axe and left for dead. Simultaneously, back in Shirdi, Maharaj (Sai Baba) became extremely agitated, shouting and swearing. Devotees understood this meant a dear devotee was in great danger and that Maharaj was protecting them. Indeed, Kashiram survived the ordeal. He refused to go to a hospital, insisting on being taken to Shirdi, where he was treated by Madhavrao Deshpande under Maharaj's instructions and recovered by Baba's grace.
