According to Chapter 29, a group of devotees from the Madras region, who were on a pilgrimage to Kashi, made a stop in Shirdi to have Sai Baba's darshan. This group, consisting of travelers who were famous for their devotional singing, belonged to the Ramdasi sect. They stayed near Sai for several days, performing their devotional singing with great enthusiasm.
