The daily worship routine in the Tarkhad household was a central part of their devotion. Chapter 9 explains that the son would take a morning bath and then, with devotion, perform a daily worship of Sai Baba's photograph. A key component of this ritual was offering 'Naivedya' (a food offering), without which he would not eat. When the father, Babasaheb Tarkhad, took over this duty, he continued the practice. He would pray before the image, offer a piece of sugar candy as Naivedya, and had a personal custom of consuming that offered sugar candy as 'Prasad' when he returned from work for his afternoon meal.
