Can you summarize the complete journey of the Buti Wada, from its conception to its final state as the Samadhi Mandir?

📖 Chapter 39

The journey of the Buti Wada is a key narrative in Chapter 39. It began as Bapusaheb Buti's plan to build a temple for the deity Murlidhar. Sai Baba gave his joyful approval, and construction of the inner sanctum began. The project faced a crisis when Baba fell gravely ill, causing Buti immense anxiety that his efforts and expense would be in vain. However, by what the text calls a "stroke of fate," Baba's last words were an instruction to "Place me in the mansion." Following this command, his holy body was interred in the building's inner sanctum. Thus, the mansion originally intended for Murlidhar was consecrated and transformed into the revered Samadhi Mandir, the final resting place of Shri Sai.
