During Dev's Udyapan ceremony, a Sanyasi appeared. Dev invited him to return for the meal at noon. As narrated in Chapter 40, the Sanyasi left and returned at the appointed time, bringing two other companions with him. All three were served a satisfying meal and treated with great respect by Dev, who offered them water, mouth fresheners, sandalwood paste, and perfume. However, Dev only saw them as ordinary guests who had come for a meal. He remained doubtful and did not realize that these three uninvited guests were in fact Sai Baba and his companions, fulfilling the promise to attend the feast in a mysterious way.
