Chapter 33 includes a footnote from R. Hari Sitaram Dixit detailing this miracle. Khimji Lalji Joshi's daughter had been ill for a long time and became very weak, with her limbs like twigs. Her mother first obtained some of Maharaj's Udi, which gave the girl some initial relief. The family then traveled to Shirdi, where the daughter had to be carried to see Sai Baba. Maharaj applied Udi to her and blessed her. Remarkably, within two to four days, she was able to start walking on her own. She still had some difficulty getting up, which she complained to Baba about. In response, Maharaj gave her a fruit to eat, and that final difficulty was also removed.
