Chapter 36 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra recounts a curious incident involving two gentlemen from Goa who came for Sai Baba's darshan. Both men surrendered at Baba's feet, filled with joy. However, Baba's interaction with them was different. He specifically asked for a Dakshina of fifteen rupees from only one of the men, which the man gave joyfully. When the second gentleman, unprompted, tried to offer thirty-five rupees on his own accord, Sai Baba immediately rejected the offering. As narrated in Chapter 36, this apparent partiality surprised everyone present, including Madhavrao (Shama), who then questioned Baba about his actions.
