Can you recount the events of the afternoon arati where Baba requested a special naivedya?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 28

Certainly. On what was described as an auspicious day in Chapter 28, devotees approached Sai Baba in the masjid to ask what naivedya, or food offering, he would like. Maharaj specifically ordered, "Bring me a plate full of khaja; then do the arati-puja." The devotees complied, and the afternoon arati was performed. Afterwards, Baba announced to the assembled devotees, "Today is an auspicious day; I feel like having khaja prasad." Subsequently, two bowls full of khaja were brought. This event was particularly significant for the devotee Laxmichand, who was present and suffering from great hunger, making the serving of the prasad a deeply personal and faith-affirming experience for him.
