The construction of the Dixit Wada began with a simple thought that evolved into a firm decision. As Chapter 4 explains, during his second visit to Shirdi in December 1909, Kakasaheb Dixit's initial idea was to take twenty-five shares to build a tin roof for the convenience of pilgrims. Later, this thought grew into a firm resolve to build a proper stone Wada. The following year, on December 9th, after receiving Baba's approval, the foundation stone was laid at an auspicious time. The foundation was completed, marking the beginning of the spacious accommodation that would serve many devotees.
