Inspired by the wife's vision of Sai Baba asking for khichdi, the devout couple made preparations to visit Shirdi. According to Chapter 28, the husband, a Post Department officer, had been transferred to Akola, and from there they set out for their pilgrimage. They chose an auspicious day and, en route, stopped to worship at the Gomati tirtha. Upon finally arriving in Shirdi, they lovingly took Baba's darshan and engaged in worship with great devotion. They were happy and fulfilled as they began their daily service at Baba's feet, staying in Shirdi for two months.
