Can you narrate the story of Cholkar and his vow to Sai Baba?

📖 Chapter 15

The story of Cholkar highlights Sai Baba's omniscience and compassion. As a poor man whose livelihood depended on passing an examination, Cholkar vowed to Baba that if he succeeded, he would visit Shirdi and distribute sugar candy. Chapter 15 recounts that his wish was granted, but financial hardships, described as the difficult "threshold-ghat" of home expenses, delayed his pilgrimage. As a personal penance for this delay, Cholkar completely gave up sugar. When he finally reached Shirdi and fulfilled his vow, Baba orchestrated a leela. While Cholkar was with Mr. Jog, Baba instructed Jog to serve Cholkar tea that was "well-filled with sugar." This act demonstrated to Cholkar that Baba was intimately aware of his secret vow and his personal sacrifice, which deeply solidified his faith and filled him with bliss.
