This story is a well-known divine play of Baba's. As narrated in Chapter 1, Baba, a detached saint with no possessions, suddenly began grinding wheat in the mosque. This attracted a crowd, and four women rushed in to help, singing his praises. After they finished, they greedily planned to divide the flour amongst themselves. Baba, seeing this, became angry and ordered them to take the flour and throw it on the village boundary. The true purpose was later revealed: the wheat symbolized a cholera epidemic, and by grinding it and casting it out, Baba drove the disease away from the village.
Can you explain the story of Sai Baba grinding wheat in the mosque? It seems like a strange thing for him to do.
