Can you explain the story of Laxmichand and the khaja sweet? How did Sai Baba know about his desire?

📖 Chapter 28

The story of Laxmichand's desire for khaja is a wonderful example of Sai Baba's omniscience. As described in Chapter 28, Laxmichand was at Sathe's wada and received a small amount of khaja as prasad, which he enjoyed. The next day, he craved it again, but his eagerness remained unfulfilled. On the third day, a devotee asked Baba what food offering (naivedya) to bring, and Baba specifically requested a plate full of khaja. Later, Baba announced to all the devotees that he felt like having khaja and that everyone should be served as much as they wanted. This directly fulfilled Laxmichand's unspoken desire, demonstrating that Baba had inner knowledge of his devotee's mind.
