Can you explain the step-by-step process of spiritual progression through devotion as described in Chapter 46?

📖 Chapter 46

Chapter 46 lays out a clear path of spiritual advancement starting with devotion. The first step is to surrender 'body, speech, and mind' at Sai's feet and constantly chant His name, which washes away sins. This practice leads to the destruction of 'Rajas' and 'Tamas' and the growth of 'Sattva' (purity). As purity increases, a 'righteous disposition is awakened,' which in turn brings about detachment from worldly subjects. This detachment then allows self-knowledge to manifest instantly. As Chapter 46 explains, when this knowledge is gained with discrimination (Viveka), one's focus remains on the true self, a state described as 'Gururpan' or a complete offering to the Guru.
