Can you explain the specifics of the 'Satya-Sai vow' that Tatya Patil started?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 13

The 'Satya-Sai vow' was a devotional tradition started by Tatya Patil. Chapter 13 explains that he modeled it after the Satyanarayan vow. Every Thursday, Patil would perform this vow with a joyful mind. The central part of the ritual was reading specific texts. Instead of the traditional story, Patil would read the three chapters dedicated to Sainath found within Das Ganu's forty-five-chapter book, the "Bhaktalilamrut." He considered these three chapters to be the "Satya-Sai story." This practice, which included the abundance of offerings (Naivedya) and auspicious celebrations, became a regular custom for Patil, his friends, and his relatives.
