Can you explain the "Satya-Sai vow" that Tatya Patil started? What did the ritual involve?

The "Satya-Sai vow" was a devotional practice initiated by Tatya Patil to show his gratitude to Sai Baba. Chapter 13 explains this in detail. Patil modeled this vow on the traditional Satyanarayan vow. Every Thursday, after bathing, he would enter a state of vow. Instead of the usual story, Patil would lovingly read the three chapters dedicated to Sainath from Das Ganu's 'Bhaktalilamrut,' which he considered to be the "Satya-Sai story." This ritual was performed with a joyful mind and included the same abundance of offerings (Naivedya) and auspicious celebration as the Satyanarayan puja, signifying that there is no difference between Narayan and Sai.
