Chapter 50 outlines a specific cosmological sequence. It begins with Brahman, which becomes 'qualified' (shabal) by Avidya (ignorance), thereby becoming expressible as 'Sat' (Existence). From this expressible Brahman, the 'Unmanifest' (Avyakta) emerged. The process continues as the 'Great Principle' (Mahat-tattva) came from the Unmanifest, and egoism was born within it. Subsequently, the five Tanmatras (subtle elements) arose in the ego, followed by the five great elements within them. It is from the womb of these five great elements that the world was ultimately born, with its form being a manifestation of Avidya-Maya.
