Can you explain the mistake Babasaheb Tarkhad made after his son left, and how did he react when he realized it?

📖 Chapter 9

After his son left for Shirdi, Babasaheb Tarkhad faithfully continued the daily worship of Sai's photograph. However, as the chief officer of a large mill, he was once preoccupied with business and completely forgot to offer the Naivedya of sugar candy. As a result, the entire family ate their meals that day without the customary offering being made. According to Chapter 9, he realized his error when he sat down to eat and noticed the cook had not served the leftover sugar candy as 'Prasad'. His reaction was one of immediate and profound remorse. He bowed to Sai's image with tearful eyes, called his mistake a "great sin" for which he felt "great repentance," and prostrated himself in grief, begging for forgiveness.
