Can you explain the miracle of Sai Baba lighting lamps with water and what led to it?

As described in Chapter 0, Maharaj had a fondness for lighting many lamps in the Masjid and temples, which was an act intended for the good of the people. He would typically get oil for these lamps from local grocers and oil-men. However, one day they refused to give him any oil. In response, Maharaj did not alter his routine but instead filled the lamps with water. To the astonishment of the villagers who were watching, the lamps lit instantly with a match and continued to burn all night. This miracle caused the people to be amazed; they surrendered to him and apologized for having previously insulted and harassed him.
