Can you explain the importance of the Chavadi in the story of Amir Shakkar?

📖 Chapter 22

The Chavadi was profoundly important in Amir Shakkar's journey as it served as a place of immense trial and unexpected blessing. Despite suffering from rheumatism, Amir was ordered by Sai Baba to reside in the dilapidated, damp, and creature-infested Chavadi. As chapter 22 explains, the building had garbage, numerous holes, and was generally chaotic. Baba’s firm words were that Amir should not question the conditions, treating His command as medicine. Though it felt like a prison, the Chavadi’s location was such that Amir received Baba's vision automatically every morning and evening. On alternate nights, Baba also stayed there, allowing for intimate conversations. Thus, what appeared as external imprisonment was actually a test of faith that resulted in a rare, firm companionship with Sai, as described in chapter 22.
