Can you explain the dynamic between Sai Baba and his devotee Kashiram, especially concerning the practice of giving Dakshina?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 0

Kashiram was a devoted follower who served Maharaj with his body, mind, and wealth. He took a vow to provide for Maharaj, including money if needed. Initially, as described in Chapter 0, Kashiram would place his entire money bag before Maharaj, who would only take a paisa or two. However, Kashiram developed pride in his ability to give, which became an obstacle to his spiritual progress. To remove this pride, Maharaj started demanding more and more Dakshina, even pushing Kashiram to borrow money until he had nothing left. Once Kashiram realized he did not truly have the power to give, his pride vanished, and his financial prosperity returned. This entire leela was orchestrated by Maharaj to help his devotee.
