Can you explain the concept of the 'Unmanifest' and its role in creation?

📖 Chapter 50

The 'Unmanifest' (Avyakruta or Avyakta) is described in Chapter 50 as the causal body of the soul, born from pure ignorance (Avidya). It is the state that emerges from the expressible Brahman, which itself becomes qualified through its association with ignorance. The Unmanifest is a crucial step in the chain of creation. Following its emergence, the Great Principle (Mahat-tattva) comes into being, followed by egoism, the five subtle elements (Tanmatras), the five great elements, and finally the physical world. Therefore, the Unmanifest acts as an intermediary stage between the qualified Brahman and the material cosmos, representing the unevolved potential from which creation unfolds.
