Can you explain the concept of non-duality between a Guru and devotee using the analogy provided in Chapter 40?

📖 Chapter 40

Chapter 40 beautifully illustrates the principle of non-duality in the Guru-devotee relationship by using the analogy of a river and an ocean. The text explains that while a river and an ocean have different names and forms, they are essentially one in substance. When the river meets the ocean, especially during the rainy season, no difference between them remains; they merge completely. Similarly, as described in Chapter 40, when a devotee seeks "exclusive refuge in the Sadguru with devotion," the sense of separateness dissolves. The Guru, perceiving the devotee's true devotion, grants them His own divine nature, effectively erasing the distinction between "me" and "you." This union is the ultimate spiritual goal highlighted in the chapter.
