Can you explain Sai Baba's practice of asking for Dakshina as described in the book?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 14

Chapter 14 details Sai Baba's distinct practice of requesting Dakshina, or an offering, from those who came for his darshan. This was not limited by a person's faith; whether they were Hindu, Muslim, or Parsi, He would ask them for Dakshina after they bowed at his feet. The amount was not fixed and could range from one or two rupees to hundreds or even thousands. The text notes that if someone provided the requested sum, Baba might ask for more, even telling them to take a loan. He would only cease his request when a loan was impossible to secure. Interestingly, He would then comfort the devotee, telling them not to worry and promising that He would give them 'bags of rupees' in return.
