Can you explain Damu Anna's involvement in the Ram Navami festival in Shirdi?

Damu Anna played a significant role in the annual Ram Navami festival in Shirdi. According to Chapter 25, he had a long-standing and regular vow to provide one of the two large new flags taken out in the procession. This vow was carried out with uninterrupted love and devotion over many years. The other flag was provided by the Nimonkars. The procession, accompanied by musical instruments, would begin from the house of Kondaji Sutara, and the flags, including the one from Damu Anna, were eventually tied to the two ends of the Masjid.
