Can you elaborate on the journey and initial experiences of the Madrasi sannyasi, Vijayananda, upon his arrival in Shirdi as described in Chapter 31?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 31

Certainly. According to Chapter 31, a sannyasi named Vijayananda embarked on a journey from his home in Madras with the goal of reaching Mansarovar. Hearing of Sai Baba's renown as a great saint, he made a detour to Shirdi to seek His darshan. Upon arriving, he met another holy man, Swami Somdevji of Haridwar. When Vijayananda inquired about the path to Mansarovar, the Swami described it as a perilous 500-mile journey fraught with heavy snow and other hardships, which left Vijayananda feeling dejected and worried. Subsequently, when he took darshan of Sai Baba, his mind was pleased, but then Baba's disposition changed, and He ordered the sannyasi to be sent away, which distressed the newcomer further, as he did not yet understand Baba's ways.
