Can you describe what Sai Baba's life was like when he was serving his own Guru?

📖 Chapter 19

Sai Baba shared an intimate account of his time with his Guru in Chapter 19. He served his master for twelve years, during which the Guru lovingly raised him from a child to an adult, ensuring he never lacked food or clothing. Baba's devotion was all-consuming; he described gazing at his Guru's face day and night, feeling neither hunger nor thirst in his presence. His mind was restless without his Guru, who was his 'only constant contemplation.' He felt his Guru's constant protection, which he compared to a mother tortoise on one river bank nurturing her young on the other with her loving glance alone, stating his Guru protected him in the same way.
