Laxmichand's experience of having Sai Baba's darshan was one of profound spiritual absorption and joy. According to Chapter 28, upon entering the assembly hall and seeing Baba's form from a distance, Laxmichand's mind became full of emotion. He became so absorbed in the darshan of his desired form that he completely forgot about his own hunger and thirst, attaining a state described as "the joy of his own self." He proceeded to wash Baba's feet, perform worship, and sat near him, feeling like a bee absorbed in a lotus, overwhelmed by the grace of his Guru.
