Mule Shastri, a first-born Brahmin well-versed in the Vedas, was originally a devotee of Gholap and held doubts about Sai Baba. His perspective dramatically changed when he visited the Masjid. As detailed in Chapter 12, he was amazed to see his own Guru, Gholap Swami, dressed in saffron clothes. Overcome with emotion, he embraced his Guru's feet. In that moment, his pride of high caste was broken. When he looked again, Gholap had vanished, and in his place was Sai Baba, asking for Dakshina. This inconceivable lila cleared all his doubts, filled his mind with the eight-fold divine emotions, and established a deep love for Baba in his heart.
