At the Chavadi, several intimate rituals of worship took place. According to Chapter 37, Bapusaheb Jog would perform 'pada puja' with great reverence. He would place Baba's feet in a silver plate, wash them with water, and then lovingly massage them. He would also apply saffron paste to Baba's hands. Another significant ritual involved the chillum, or pipe. Madhavrao (Shama) would prepare the tobacco, and Tatyaba would take the first puffs to light it.
