Can you describe the relationship between Gopalrao Gund and Maharaj, including the blessings he received and his contributions?

📖 Chapter 0

Gopalrao Gund was the Revenue Circle Inspector of Kopargaon who, as described in Chapter 0, initially came for Maharaj's darshan because he had three wives but no children. He was blessed with a son through Maharaj's grace and became a total devotee. His devotion led him to attempt to rebuild the dilapidated Masjid, but Maharaj did not grant permission. Instead, with Maharaj's command, the stones Gopalrao had collected were used to build the Shani temple and renovate other temples in the village. He also conceived the idea of an annual fair (Urs) in Maharaj's honor, which he proposed to other devotees, setting in motion a tradition that continues to this day.
