According to Chapter 22, the Chavadi where Amir Shakkar was instructed to stay was in a deplorable state. It was a very old and dilapidated structure originally built by Malik Ambar. The text describes it as a place where lizards, house lizards, and poisonous scorpions lived freely. It was also a place where lepers stayed, and dogs ate leftovers. The back part was filled with garbage and had seventeen knee-deep holes.
