Can you describe the miraculous events that occurred when Chand Patil first met the Fakir?

When Chand Patil met the Fakir, who was Sai Baba, he witnessed two wonders. As recounted in Chapter 5, after Patil mentioned his lost horse, Baba told him to search near the streams, where the mare was immediately found. This amazed Patil, making him think he had met a great saint, or 'Avaliya'. Upon his return, a second marvel occurred. The Fakir, needing to light his chillum, thrust a pair of tongs (chimta) into the earth and pulled out a glowing ember, which he then placed on the pipe. These events convinced Patil that he was in the presence of an extraordinary being, not a mere human.
