Can you describe the miracles that Sai Baba performed for Chand Patil during their initial meeting?

During their first meeting, Sai Baba performed several miracles that left Chand Patil astounded. According to Chapter 5, after Baba told Patil the precise location of his lost mare, he demonstrated his divine power further. To light his chillum (pipe), Baba thrust a pair of tongs into the earth and pulled out a glowing ember. Immediately after, needing water to wet the cloth for the pipe, he struck his satka (short stick) on the ground, causing water to spring forth. These incredible acts convinced Patil that he was in the presence of a great saint, or 'Avaliya'.
