Can you describe the interaction between the parents of the ailing boy and Sai Baba when they first met him in Shirdi?

📖 Chapter 34

Chapter 34 provides a moving account of the parents' first meeting with Sai Baba. Upon arriving in Shirdi, they immediately took Baba’s darshan, prostrated at his feet, and narrated their child's suffering. With choked voices, pitiful faces, and folded hands, they pleaded with Sai, expressing how exhausted they were from seeing their son's pain and asking him to place his hand of protection on the boy's head. In response, Sai, described as the embodiment of compassion, reassured them, telling them to be worry-free. He then gave them his Udi and instructed them to smear it on the wound, promising that those who seek shelter in his Masjid shall never face downfall.
