Chapter 28 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra highlights Megha's willingness to endure significant physical hardship out of devotion. For his daily worship, he would travel one and a half kos (around 4.5 km), including climbing hills, just to obtain bilva leaves. A more extreme example occurred on Makar Sankranti day. Megha decided to give Baba an oil bath with water from the Godavari river. To accomplish this, he undertook a journey of eight kos (approximately 24 km) on foot, starting before sunrise and without food. The text notes that the thought of hardship 'did not even enter his dreams' because his determination and enthusiasm for the task were so firm.
